“On Monday, she got the call that they were being shut down.”
There’s nothing they could do,
Thought they were going to drown.
Tuesday they started packing up their things,
Trying to find joy with no work songs left to sing.
On Wednesday they saw the closing sign on the door,
They cried that day couldn’t be there anymore,
Because they were losing even more.
When Thursday came,
It couldn’t feel the same,
They had to start over.
Then Friday hits,
Everyone forgets,
Cause they found a new place to belong.
It comes and goes,
But when losing it all,
They feel it again and again.
Cause they were being shut down,
Thought they might drown,
With no songs left to sing.
So they cried that day never felt the same,
They had to start over.
So they got some ground and found a sound
In a million frowns,
They found a place to belong,
Even though they were being shut down.
