“So cute… but don’t come home with another dog!”
“But this one is so pretty.”
“I swear to God Jeremy, we already have 3 dogs and 4 cats. We cannot take another dog in the tiny apartment,” Jake pleaded.
“But dude, dogs!”
“But dude, rent!”
Jeremy sighed. He walked along next to Jake and kicked at the ground a bit, trying to look sad. Jake made a very loud “uuuggghhhhhHHH” sound and said “Fine. But this is the last one.”
Jeremy jumped up, “Yes!”
“But you have to pick up an extra shift on Tuesdays. Or we won’t be able to afford it.”
“Aww, okay..”
Jake smiled at his dumb boyfriend. “I’ll help Cathy in Chem some more too, the extra tutor money can help us actually pay rent.” He held his hand out.
Jeremy smiled at him and took his hand, and he kept showing Jake pictures of cute dogs on their whole walk home.
