On Monday, she got a call,
The horse barn was going to close.
All she thought about was the horses
And their warm, fuzzy noses.
She thought about Breeze and Tucker
And all the rides and shows.

She thought about Gabby,
A horse she knew since she was small.
And Willow, Bear, and all the others
She loved them, one and all.

She thought about Brooke and Stella
The friends she made there too.
The barn was more than just a place
It was where she always knew what to do.

She thought about all the barn cats
And the kittens through the years.
There were so many memories
And sometimes even happy tears.

She thought about Jump For The Cure
And all the cleaning, “riding,” and helping,
And all the times they had fun.

She thought about Sue,
Who couldn’t own the barn anymore
And she knew that closing the barn
She would lose a place she loved

The barn was the one place where her shoulders relaxed
After moving to a new town.
When everything felt different
The barn was where she could unwind.

She didn’t want to say goodbye
Or leave the barn behind.
She kept thinking of the horses
And all the memories in her mind.

Then she started thinking,
“Maybe I could buy this place”
Maybe she could save the barn
And keep it from going away!

She knew it would be hard
and cost a lot of money too,
But she really loved the barn,
So maybe that’s what she will do.
