They get more attention with negativity.

It was the year 2235 and scientists had discovered ways to make new creatures. Their latest one nobody really cared about, and nobody really knew of it. It was a big round brown ball that was fluffy and had an underbite and big wide eyes. The scientists told everyone it was harmless and this wasn’t the first creature they had made so nobody paid attention to it. Over the span of a couple months, they created more. Two weeks later they were on the news.

It was a rainy night and a couple of guys in their 20s wanted to do something fun. They wanted to break into the lab and meet the new creatures. But first they had to make a gameplan of how to even get into the lab. The lab was in an old mall that was shut down because nobody needed it anymore because they had online shopping. The mall still had the back halls that employees used to get around the mall. The lab was heavily guarded but they weren’t smart enough to guard the back hallways because they assumed nobody knew about them. After a couple small arguments and lots of yelling they finally decided on a plan. They would pick the locks on one of the back doors on Sunday night when nobody would be there except a couple guards.

It was Sunday night and it was time for them to break into the lab. They discovered a door that was hidden by an overgrown bush and started to pick the lock on it. Once they were in it was now time to try to find the new creature. They walked through the halls being quiet as a mouse to avoid being caught. Luckily for them there were signs up everywhere giving directions. After a couple turns and multiple long hallways, they finally found the room with the new creatures. There weren’t any guards there for some reason but that was better for them. They entered the room and all of a sudden, they all saw a big brown fuzzball coming straight at them. None of them could breathe because of the creatures on them. An alarm started to go off because of all the noise and the guards rushed into the room. What they saw was awful. The creatures were so big they were suffocating the people trying to lay on them. The guards threw food to the side so it would distract the creatures and get them off the guys. It worked but one of the guys had a couple broken bones from the creature’s size crushing him. The guards called an ambulance and helped get the other guys out of the room.

When the guys were all leaving the building with the EMTs, there were a bunch of news stations outside waiting for them. The owner of the lab had to come and give a statement. He said “What happened here tonight was an awful accident. The guys broke in to see the new creatures and when they entered their room the creatures all jumped on them. Only one person is injured and the rest are okay.” The news outlets all took this story and spread it very quickly. They all released stories about how these new creatures were harmful and aggressive. The creatures had never had any attention on them before when they were first made but now that something bad has happened, they have a ton of negative attention.
