“I don’t think the beast has gone down to Florida yet. That means we’re stuck with him.”
“Sarah! Why would you say something like that about your brother? You two may not always get along, but he is certainly not a beast!”
“But mom, he’s just so annoying! I can’t wait for him to go visit grandma and grandpa. The whole house to ourselves!”
“Sarah, you know he’s been going through a tough time. At least try and give him a break. Trust me, later on in life you will realize how important to you he really is.”
“Well, I’ll tell you this; it certainly doesn’t seem that way.”
“Sarah, he’s just in a sensitive age. After all, I’m sure you remember how hard 13 was for you when you were his age.”
“I sure hope I wasn’t as annoying as him.”
“You’d be surprised, S. Just bear with him. He’ll come through.”
